Samhwa - NCS Color

The Natural Color System (NCS)
takes inspiration from our natural surroundings. NCS, developed in partnership with NCS Colour AB, a leading global color consulting company, has been designated as the standard national color system for Norway, Spain, and Sweden.
The system has also been used in color planning for Incheon International Airport.

In February 2012,
Samhwa Paints entered into a partnership with NCS Colour AB for color marketing and development.
This made Samhwa the first Korean paint company to have its own system of colors.

NCS systematically sorts and arranges every color found in nature the way they are seen and recognized by humans. The color codes contain information about the nuances of different shades, determined by the mixture of black and pure colors. In this way, one intuitively understands what color each code is describing.
