Samhwa to be featured at 2024 Seoul Living Design Fair
2024/02/28
Introducing a digital color book of 1,200 colors, along with braille cards for the visually impaired
Samhwa Paints will be featured at the 2024 Seoul Living Design Fair at COEX from Wednesday, February 28, to Sunday, March 3, this year.
The annual fair is the largest of all living and lifestyle-related expos in South Korea, with over 450 businesses and brands participating to showcase the latest trends in interior design, furniture, and home appliances.
Samhwa will run a color gallery, named Samhwa Vibes, introducing three installation works—Color Panorama, Into the Planet, and Art Wall—featuring colors from Samhwa’s color palette of the year, “La La in Limboland,” which together create fun and pleasant vibes for everyday living.
Samhwa will use this year’s fair to demonstrate its Palette of 1,200 Digital Colors as well. A digitized color book of Samhwa Color Collection Plus 1,200, the new digital palette will excite color experts and consumers alike as it minimizes electronic interruptions to realize colors on computer screen as close as possible to those featured in the actual color book.
Samhwa’s booth will also feature artwork made with natural lime paint from Ard Raccanello, the renowned Italian premium paint company. Its walls will feature sophisticated and eco-friendly colors from the iLux Multi Eggshell collection.
Samhwa will also offer braille postcards made in partnership with Sensee, a company specializing in the publication of braille books, for visitors with visual impairments to enjoy as well.
Lee Sang-hee, director of Samhwa’s Color Design Center, commented: “This year’s fair is an opportunity for visitors to experience our new palette of 1,200 digital colors. We also plan to make this colorful event enjoyable for everyone as part of our commitment to color universal design (CUD).”
